Tecno has announced the Indian smartphone pricing but has reserved the availability for this quarter in India. The smartphone will be available in two variants, the prices of which are mentioned below. Tecno Phantom V Fold: Specifications
The Tecno Phantom V Fold is the world’s first left-right foldable and Tecno’s foray into the foldable segment. The handset features LTPO AMOLED displays on both the inside and outside. The cover display is a 6.42-inch FHD+ dual 10Hz-120Hz LTPO panel, whereas on the inside, there is a 7.65-inch 2K 10-120Hz LTPO AMOLED foldable panel with 2296 X 2000 pixels resolution.
A MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC is powering the foldable smartphone, and a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU handles the graphics. The Dimensity 9000+ is the flagship processor from MediaTek with an integrated 5G modem. According to MediaTek, it’s their fastest-ever 5G chipset. The processor is backed by 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. Under the hood is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
In the camera department, the Tecno Phantom V Fold flaunts a triple camera rear setup with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 2x portrait camera. There’s a 32MP selfie camera on the cover display and a 16MP shooter on the inner screen for selfies and video calling.
The flagship device also offers features like an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics, stereo speakers for punchy audio output, and a USB Type-C port. On the connectivity front, the handset offers 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC.
As for the design, Tecno claims that the inner display is crease-free and folds seamlessly, thanks to the exclusive fixed-axis rotate and slide technology and a self-developed reverse snap structure. In short, the Tecno Phantom V Fold offers its users a smooth and crease-less folding experience.
