Tecno has launched the first smartphone in the Pova 5 series dubbed as the Tecno Pova 5. Alongside, the Pova 5, Tecno also has unveiled the limited Free Fire Special Edition of the Pova 5, in collaboration with the Garena-hosted battle royale game. The device features a futuristic design which Tecno calls Turbo Mecha. Furthermore, the handset also has a few lines at the rear side which resemble the giant robot mecha of the popular sci-fi. The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh battery which supports 45W fast charging. It has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display, 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP dual-camera setup, and 8GB of RAM.

Tecno Pova 5 Pricing, Availability
Tecno will make the Tecno Pova 5 available in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America in Hurricane Blue, Amber Gold, and Mecha Black colour options. The pricing and sale date of the device for a specific market will be announced by the company later on.

The Tecno Pova 5 boasts a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display. The device has a punch-hole cutout at the centre of the screen which houses the selfie camera. The display panel has a Full HD+ resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Furthermore, the phone also has a 10,749mm2 heat dissipation area, comprising of a 1399.65mm2 vapour chamber, and a 9349.39mm2 graphene heat sink. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 SoC which is coupled with 8GB of RAM.

In terms of imaging, the device features a dual-camera setup. The camera module consists of a 50MP primary camera and a depth sensor. On the front side, the handset features a 8MP selfie camera. The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery which supports 45W fast charging. The charging adapter is included in the box. Tecno claims that the smartphone’s battery can be charged to 50% in 21 minutes and to full in 60 minutes. Additionally, the handset also supports 10W reverse charging. Last but not least, the handset also has a z-axis linear vibration motor and dual speakers with DTS Sound.

Alongside, the Pova 5, Tecno appears to have also introduced the Tecno Pova Neo 3. The device features a 6.82-inch display with a HD+ resolution. Powering the smartphone under the hood there is a Helio G85 SoC. The phone comes in 4GB or 8GB RAM options along with 128GB of internal storage. For the optics purpose, the handset has a 16MP primary camera and a 8MP selfie camera. The whole package draws power from a 7,000mAh battery. The device will be available in the same colour options as that of the Pova 5.
