Tecno Spark 8T India Launch Officially Teased to Happen Soon

The Tecno Spark 8T is expected to improve on the previous Spark 8 smartphone that was launched in India in August this year.

The Tecno Spark 8T has been officially confirmed to launch in India soon. Word regarding the upcoming launch of the smartphone has been teased by the company on Twitter, which also revealed at least one official colour variant of the device. The Spark 8T will feature a cyan colour variant once launched in India, and even though the launch date has not been revealed, an official teaser suggests that it could be introduced in the country within the coming weeks.

Tecno Spark 8T: everything we know so far

Unfortunately, not a lot is yet known about the Tecno Spark 8T upcoming smartphone. Based on the teaser image of the device that was posted earlier today, the Spark 8T appears to feature at least a dual rear camera setup, which is visible from the poster. The volume keys and the power button are all placed to the right of the smartphone, which is in line with the general design of modern day smartphones.

Last month, Tecno also added a new variant to its previous smartphone, the Spark 8. The latter features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a drop notch housing the front camera. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. The latter can also be increased with support for microSD cards.

Interestingly, the smartphone was introduced with a base, 2GB RAM variant. The latter featured MediaTek’s Helio A25 SoC inside.

Other features of the smartphone included a 16MP dual rear camera setup, with a variety of software features that included “AI” based portrait mode, video bokeh and more. It also has an 8MP front camera for selfies. In terms of connectivity, the Spark 8 features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, a microUSB port for charging, and a 3.5mm audio port for wired earphones.

It also has a 5,000mAh battery, runs on Android 11 (Go Edition), and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Given that the Tecno Spark 8T should improve on this offering, it remains to be seen how the latter shapes up in terms of its specs.
