Tecno Mobiles, earlier today, announced the launch of a new handset called the Tecno Spark Power 2 in India. A successor to the Tecno Spark Power that was launched back in November, the upgraded variant of this device comes with a few upgrades and also boasts of a sub-Rs 10,000 price tag. The Tecno Spark Power 2’s highlight feature is the massive 7-inch display that dominates the front fascia. The phone also retains the large 6000mAh battery we saw on its predecessors and also boasts of a decent camera setup.
Let’s now take a detailed look at the specifications and features of the Tecno Spark Power 2
The Tecno Spark Power 2 is an entry-level device that comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 processor. It comes in a single 4GB64GB variant with support for dual SIM cards. The display used on the handset is an LCD panel that measures 7-inches across and offers HD+ resolution (720*1640 pixels). This is perhaps the largest display ever on a smartphone currently available for under Rs 10,000 in India. The panel boasts of 480 nits of brightness and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The handset gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Tecno Spark Power 2 also gets a quad-camera setup at the rear with the primary camera using a 16MP sensor. The company hasn’t revealed the sensor details or the megapixel count of the other three rear-facing cameras, although promotional materials also talk about support for macro photography.
At the front, the phone gets a single front-facing 16MP camera housed within the notch at the top center. The massive 6000mAh battery that the phone features also gets support for 18W fast charging. The handset also runs Android 10 underneath the company’s custom UI. The device also comes with several software features, including support for AI photography, dedicated game mode, and AR Emoji.
The Tecno Spark Power 2 comes in three color options: Ice Jadeite，Misty Grey，and Fascinating Purple. It has been priced at INR 9,999 and will be sold on Flipkart. The first sale is set for June 23, starting at midnight.
