MAD is a small-budget movie that was released in theatres on October 6. The film contains almost all newcomers and was thought to be a just one-time-watch movie, but the promotional activities created quite a lot of hype about the movie, and eventually, it became a huge success at the box office. The plot of MAD revolves around three carefree college students studying engineering: Manoj (Ram Nithin), Ashok (Narne Nithin), and Damodhar (Sangeeth Shoban). They get into small-time fights at college as a way to kill time. While Jenni (Ananthika) is in love with Ashok, Manoj is infatuated with Shruthi (Gouri Priya). Relationships are not Damodhar’s thing, but when Vennela starts calling him every day, things start to change. These three friends’ college experiences are portrayed throughout the remainder of the movie.

Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, Ram Nithin, Sri Gouri Priya Reddy, Ananathika Sanilkumar, and Gopikaa Udyan all had important roles in this Kalyan Shankar-directed movie. Under the auspices of Haarika & Hassine Creations and Fortune Four Cinemas, Haarika Suryadevara and Sai Sowjanya collaborated to produce MAD. Music director Bheems Ceciroleo wrote the soundtrack, while producer Naga Vamsi presented the film.

‘MAD’ created a lot of talk before its release and made Rs. 2 crore in pre-release sales. The break-even point was established at Rs. 2.20 crore, which appeared high for a production with a limited budget.
