The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Official Trailer and Plot
The hype of the show can be gauged by the 159k views of the trailer released barely three days ago. Based on Jenny Han’s best-selling trilogy, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” follows Lola Tung’s character Belly, a teenager who spends every summer at the beach house of their family friends. Belly meets together with her friends Jeremiah and Conrad (who are brothers) for the holiday, and the three of them catch themselves involved in a love triangle. Belly will be counting down the days until she can go back to Cousins Beach in Season 2, but she’s not sure summer will ever be the same with Conrad and Jeremiah competing over her heart and Susannah’s cancer coming back. When a surprise guest puts Susannah’s beloved home in jeopardy, Belly must inspire the group to band together to fight the problem and make a final decision on the matter of her heart.
The show also stars Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, and Alfredo Narciso in addition to Lola Tung. Together with Sarah Kucserka, Han is the series’ showrunner. Along with Karen Rosenfelt, Gabrielle Stanton, Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Paul Lee, they jointly executive produced the show.
