Popular Bollywood actress Kajol is getting ready to shock her fans with her upcoming OTT web series debut, “The Trial – Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha”. The American television program “The Good Wife” served as the inspiration for “The Trial – Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha”. This July 14, Disney+ Hotstar will debut the series, which stars Kajol, and Jisshu U Sengupta as the leads in the show.
The last time we saw Kajol was in Salaam Venky with Vishal Jethwa. The movie, which was helmed by Revathy and was released last year, also included actor Aamir Khan in a cameo role. Kajol will soon be featured in Lust Stories 2 on Netflix. The teaser for Lust Stories 2 was shared by the anthology series’ creators last week to promote the sequel.
When and Where to Watch The Trial- Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha
Disney+ Hotstar has announced that it will be premiering Kajol’s debut series on its platform on July 14. Viewers will need to have a subscription to the streaming service to watch the courtroom drama.

Official Trailer and Plot
The trailer of the series was released recently. The trailer shows the lives of Noyonika Sen Gupta, a retired attorney who is compelled to resume her legal career after her spouse is detained for taking bribes and sexual favours, despite being an additional judge. Despite all the heartaches, love, and betrayals, Kajol still chooses to support her husband and take up his cause.
Apart from Kajol, the series also features Jisshu Sengupta, Sheeba Chaddha, Alyy Khan, Gaurav Pandey, and Kubbra Sait, among others. The series is directed by Suparn S Verma and produced by Banijay Asia and Ajay Devgn Ffilms.
Reception
The trailer of the show was released last week and has garnered 27,682,561 views, which shows the hype it has created. The series is an Indian adaptation of the American series, The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies as the lead. The show started in 2009 and had seven seasons. IMDb has given the show a ranking of 8.4 and that is what the makers of the show are hoping for.
