The brand since inception has focussed on bringing latest technologies, industry first innovation and 5G capabilities across product range for its consumers. The brand holds the credit of the most satisfied users beating the likes of Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus, as per 91 Mobile’s Great Indian Smartphone Survey in 2022. And is all set to add more feathers to its crown with the upcoming beast, the iQOO 11 flagship smartphone, which will be the company’s first offering of 2023.
So, what makes us so excited about the iQOO 11? Well, there are multiple factors, and in this article, we will focus on three major reasons that make the iQOO 11 the ultimate flagship smartphone for the Indian market.
But, before diving into the smartphone, let’s talk about some highlights of the all-new iQOO flagship in India. This is the first smartphone in India to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, making it a performance-oriented smartphone for power users. The iQOO 11 sports the most advanced display ever seen on Android smartphones. The phone is a gaming beast in every true sense with features like a large dedicated Vapour Chamber Liquid Cooling System and a fantastic 120W FlashCharge fast charging support. But, what makes the iQOO 11 a true flagship smartphone is the company’s V2 Chip, which enhances the gaming experience to next level and makes photography a delightful experience.
Let’s dive into three major reasons that make iQOO 11 the ultimate performance-oriented smartphone.
1. India’s First Smartphone With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform
The biggest highlight of the iQOO 11 is what lies at its core. It is India’s first with the super-fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform that guarantees ultimate performance output. Just putting some numbers to set the context, compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, the CPU and GPU performance has increased by 35% and 25%, respectively. In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is also 40% more power efficient.
And, compared to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the CPU and GPU performance has been increased by 10% and 20%, respectively. Even the LPDDR5X storage is now 33% faster than the last generation of LPDDR5. Moreover, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has managed to reduce the power consumption by 20%.
The iQOO 11 has already proved its mettle, and we have seen it scoring the best AnTuTu score yet by a smartphone which crossed 1.3 million and topped the all-time charts.
In the 3D Mark WildLife Extreme test, the iQOO 11 scored a fantastic 3755, where the chipset beat Apple’s Bionic A16, which achieved a score of 3312.
However, iQOO did not stop here. The company introduced an industry-leading heat dissipation system for iQOO 11 to elevate the whole gaming experience. The Vapour Chamber Liquid Cooling System comes with a vapour chamber measuring 4013mm² made of stamped stainless steel, which ensures more efficient heat dissipation, brings a better temperature experience and intelligently controlled temperature.
Then, there’s Extended RAM 3.0 on the iQOO 11, which means users can run up to 43 apps in the background, and the apps in the background do not need to be reloaded before starting.
iQOO 11 also comes with 120W Flash Charge support and packs a large 5,000mAh battery. It can charge 50% battery in just 8 minutes and 100% battery in just 25 minutes which are some impressive charging figures for a power-oriented smartphone. These features make it an ultra-modern and a powerful gaming smartphone.
2. Best Flat Display on an Android Smartphone Yet
The next biggest highlight is the display on the iQOO 11. The phone offers an E6 AMOLED display which not only makes it a top-notch display for gaming but also for multimedia consumption. The 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display has 77.8% more pixels than the 1080P display. The biggest highlight of an E6 panel is that it performs much better than E5 and E4 in terms of power consumption and brightness.
The iQOO 11 can offer a screen brightness of 1,800 nits which is class-leading compared to the competition in India. The display guarantees vivid details with realistic and natural transitions between bright and dark. It also supports HDR high dynamic range video content playback. The OnePlus 11, set to launch next month in India, offers an E4 AMOLED display with a max brightness of 1300 nits.
3. A Robust Camera System
The camera setup on the iQOO 11, with gazillion features and night photography enhancements thanks to the V2 Chip, is the third and probably the most important highlight. The triple camera setup led by a 50-megapixel GN5 Ultra-Sensing camera offers f/1.88 aperture along with autofocus, OIS, and 6P lens setup. In addition, there’s a 13-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.46 aperture and 2x optical zoom. And, lastly, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 116-degree field of view.
The GN5’s Dual Pixel Pro technology improves the autofocus function of the phone, and the technology can recognise pattern changes in all directions. A faster-focusing speed allows the camera to accurately and quickly capture a moving subject or a subject in a dark environment. The GN5 is equipped with ISOCELL 2.0 technology.
The iQOO 11 also supports 4K Super Night Video. The upgraded algorithm RAW Video NR 3.0 offers the ability to increase the amount of light intake by frame dropping and MEMC frame interpolation. And, with the inbuilt V2 Chip’s MEMC capability, night photography is remarkably improved in extremely dark night scenes.
The night videos taken in AI-enhanced mode on the iQOO 11 guarantee better results than that of many flagship smartphones.
Bonus: The Premium Design of iQOO 11 is Just Chef’s Kiss
How can we not talk about the exquisite design of the iQOO 11? The smartphone has a signature back panel with tri-coloured red, black and blue stripes representing racing pedigree. In addition, the silicone leather back panel is elegant and adds a dynamic character to the overall product. Interestingly, the familiar back panel design stands out from the crowd with iQOO’s signature style.
