Sony India has launched its new BRAVIA 2 II 4K Ultra HD LED TV series, expanding its television lineup with models that blend powerful processing, immersive audio, and gaming-ready features. Designed for the Indian market, the new TVs are available in multiple screen sizes ranging from 43-inch to 75-inch, with prices starting at ₹50,990.

Display and Audio Features

The BRAVIA 2 II series is powered by Sony's X1 4K Processor, which uses real-time image processing algorithms to enhance clarity and upscale lower-resolution content closer to 4K quality. It also includes X-Reality PRO and Motionflow XR, aimed at improving visual sharpness and motion smoothness, particularly in fast-moving scenes. Color performance is further enhanced through Live Colour technology.

On the audio side, the TVs are equipped with 20W open baffle speakers, supporting Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Clear Phase technology. These work together to provide a more immersive sound profile with improved spatial effects and clearer dialogue.

Smart TV Capabilities and Content Integration

Running on Google TV, the BRAVIA 2 II models offer access to over 10,000 apps and a unified interface that pulls together content from streaming platforms and live TV. Users can access voice search via a built-in microphone on the remote, and the TVs also support Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, allowing integration with iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

The TVs come preloaded with Sony Pictures Core, a service offering select Sony movie titles for streaming at up to 80 Mbps via PureStream. New users receive up to five redeemable movie credits and access to a rotating catalogue of up to 100 films.

Gaming Performance and PS5 Support

For console users, the BRAVIA 2 II series includes Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Auto HDR Tone Mapping via HDMI 2.1. These features adjust performance and image settings dynamically when a PlayStation 5 is detected, switching between Game and Standard modes to optimize latency and picture quality for gameplay or video content.

Design and Build Quality

The series features a minimalist, slim-bezel design that maximizes screen space and helps the TV blend into various room styles. Models in the lineup also come with X-Protection PRO, which provides resistance against dust, humidity, power surges, and lightning — factors that are particularly relevant in Indian environments.

Sony BRAVIA 2 II series: What's New

Sony's 2025 Bravia 2 series builds on last year's foundation with a sharper focus on immersive 4K entertainment. The latest models now offer enhanced audio with Dolby Atmos and 20W open baffle speakers, a redesigned remote with six hotkeys, and a cleaner Google TV interface. There’s also a broader range of sizes and improved picture tuning powered by Sony's X1 processor, making it a more well-rounded smart TV lineup.

In comparison, the 2024 Bravia 2 series introduced the basics—Google TV, bezel-less design, and gaming-focused features like Auto Low Latency Mode and HDMI 2.1—but was more conservative in scope. It was launched in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes, though only the 55-inch and 65-inch variants were made available at launch. The 2025 refresh, by contrast, comes with confirmed pricing and availability across multiple screen sizes from day one.
