Now in the latest development, we have spotted the upcoming rollable display smartphone in CNIPA Patent revealing the design of the smartphone. According to the patent, the smartphone features a large secondary display which was not revealed in the previous patent. Here’s a detailed look at the upcoming LG rollable smartphone.
LG Rollable Smartphone On CNIPA Patent
According to the CNIPA Patent, the upcoming LG rollable smartphone will feature a rectangle design with a long secondary screen placed at the rear panel of the phone. The patent was filed by LG Electronics at CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) at the beginning of 2020. The document was released by CNIPA on February 12, 2021, which includes 16 product images of the smartphone revealing the details.
The patent images of the smartphone showcased thin edges in the display and it can be easily pulled out from the left side to enlarge the display. When unfolded, the screen is 40 percent larger than its compact size. We have also noticed the rear camera module placed at the top left corner of the rear panel aligned vertically along with an LED flash.
The new patent shows a rectangular screen added to the rear panel which can be utilized for clicking selfies and making video calls with the main camera. The inclusion of the secondary display makes it possible to deliver edge-to-edge display experience without any punch-hole cutout design.
As per the CNIPA patent, we can see some buttons on the side chassis of the upcoming LG smartphone. These would be the volume rocker keys and power button. A microphone has been seen at top and bottom of the smartphone and along with an USB-C connection to charge the handset. Currently, we know this much about the upcoming LG rollable smartphone and we can expect more information soon.
