Various companies including the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, and Vivo have had to postpone their smartphone launches, while others might have had to change their unannounced plans. That being said, all this would end one day and our lives will be back on track. Once that happens, there will be plenty of smartphones lined up for launch. Amongst those, we have shortlisted the 5 upcoming smartphones in India that are worth waiting for in 2020. 1. POCO F2

We will start our list with one of the most anticipated smartphones of the past few months. Fans of Xiaomi’s spinoff brand POCO have eagerly been waiting for the POCO F2, the successor to the highly popular POCO F1 smartphone. Upon separation from Xiaomi as an independent brand, POCO India gave its fans a treat by launching the POCO X2 smartphone, which is essentially a rebranded variant of the Redmi K30 4G smartphone. The brand is currently gearing up for the launch of its POCO F2 smartphone. A little while ago, the company itself confirmed the existence of the POCO F2 device and hinted at an imminent launch.

Furthermore, the company also said that it would soon be launching its first-ever truly wireless earbuds in the Indian market. Lastly, the company assured its fans that POCO F2 won’t be the rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone. Though the rumor mill is still rife about the possibility of a possible rebrand, we cannot entirely comment on that happening until we hear something from officials. Nevertheless, POCO F2 deserves to be amongst the list of the 5 best smartphones that are totally worth waiting for.

2. Realme X3

The next smartphone that we believe is worth waiting for is the Realme X3. Truth be told, so far, the Realme X3 moniker has not been confirmed. However, we were able to spot the Realme X3 SuperZoom smartphone on the NBTC certification website, which has confirmed that the Realme X3 series does exist and is in the works.

Right after the Realme X3 SuperZoom, another Realme smartphone (with 5G capability) was spotted on the Chinese TENAA certification authority website, which is being speculated to be the Realme X3 smartphone. As per the TENAA certification, the Realme X3 will feature a 6.57-inch display. The device will come with support for 30W fast charging (5VDC, 6A Max). 3. Redmi Note 9

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has already launched the Redmi Note 9 series of smartphones. Wait. If the company has already launched the series, what are we waiting for, right? Well, the company managed to tweak things a little bit this time around and we saw two smartphones getting launched – Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The vanilla Redmi Note 9 was nowhere in the picture, leaving a lot of fans confused and waiting.

If you are one of them, you need not worry, as the company is reportedly going to launch the Redmi Note 9 pretty soon. As a matter of fact, we were able to spot a new Redmi smartphone on the TENAA certification website, which is very likely to be the Redmi Note 9. As per TENAA, the Redmi Note 9 will feature a square-shaped quadruple rear camera setup, which will consist of a 48MP primary lens. On the right side of the camera module, there will be an LED flash. The device will feature a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner.

At the front, the Redmi Note 9 will sport a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, which will be located in the top left corner of the device’s display. As far as the display is concerned, the Redmi Note 9 will sport a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The device will measure 162.3×77.2×8.9 and weigh in at 198 grams. Coming to the battery of the device, the Redmi Note 9 will make room for a large 4,920mAh battery. Powering the Redmi Note 9 will most likely be an ocra-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which will be paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage. The internal storage of the device will have scope for further expansion all the way up to 512GB with the help of an external SD card. 4. Realme Narzo 10

Not too long ago, Realme announced the arrival of its Narzo series of smartphones. Notably, the Realme Nazro lineup of devices will focus on the youth out there and the first two smartphones under the Narzo lineup will be the Realme Narzo 10 and the Realme Narzo 10A. Sadly enough, the Realme Nazro 10 has seen a couple of cancelled launch events already and we can only hope that the third time will be the charm. Nevertheless, the Realme Nazro is said to be the rebranded Realme 6i smartphone, which was announced in Myanmar last month.

Speaking of the specifications of the device, the Realme Narzo 10 is expected to sport a 6.5-inch HD+ panel with a waterdrop notch at the top. The Realme Narzo 10 will measure 164.4 x 75 x 9.0 mm and weigh in at 195 grams. In the camera department, the Realme Narzo will feature a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture supported by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP B&W sensor.

Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which will be assisted by 3GB/4GB of RAM. On the software side of things, the  Realme Narzo 10 will likely ship with Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house Realme UI. 5. Nokia 9.3 PureView

Lastly, we have the Nokia 9.3 PureView. The Nokia 9.3 PureView is the company’s upcoming 5G flagship offering and is rumored to feature an under-display camera. The display of the device is rumored to come with a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the Nokia 9.3 PureView is tipped to sport a 108MP lens and a 64MP primary lens. The 64MP primary sensor will come with OIS. Other than these two, the Nokia 9.3 PureView will make room for a depth sensor, a macro sensor, and a telephoto lens. At the front, the Nokia 9.3 PureView will likely come with a 32MP selfie snapper.

As far as the display of the device is concerned, the Nokia 9.3 PureView is tipped to sport a 6.29-inch QHD+ P-OLED panel with a 2K resolution and it will be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Powering the device will reportedly be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which will be paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of onboard memory.
