Hours after we posted this article talking about the appearance of an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone on TENAA with the model number M2004J7AC, we have come across another smartphone with a closely related model number (M2004J7BC). In this instance, however, the phone has appeared on popular benchmarking platform Geekbench. While we do not know what Xiaomi (or Redmi) could call this phone at launch, several publications have hinted at the possibility that both these phones M2004J7AC and M2004J7BC could be the company’s next-generation Redmi Note10 series devices. Interestingly, as we were drafting this article, we also came across the M2004J7AC on Geekbench.

From the previous leak, know that the variant of this phone with the model number M2004J7AC gets an OLED panel and features mid-range specifications. Considering that both these model numbers are very similar, chances are high that we are looking at either different variants of the same phone or two closely related phones with near similar specifications.

From the Geekbench listing, we know that the Xiaomi M2004J7BC manages a single-core score of 646 points and a multi-core score of 2529 points. The scores for the M2004J7AC are also very similar. 644 points in the single-core score and 2156 points in the multi-core score. Also evident is that the phone gets a quad-core chipset and that it runs Android 10. Both these phones also ship with 8GB of RAM.

Coming back to the specifications, given the similarity in the model numbers, there is a good chance that the M2004J7BC will also get the same 6.57-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1800 pixels. The handset is also likely to get an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display also gets a u-shaped notch at the top where the front-facing camera is located.

Popular Chinese leakster DCS had already indicated that the M2004J7AC (and for the same reason – the M2004J7BC) would be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset. The phone also, reportedly, gets a 4,400mAh battery with support for 22.5W and 33W fast charging. We can also expect Xiaomi to come up with multiple storage and RAM options for this phone, starting from a base 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, version, and going up to a top-end 8GB RAM +256GB variant.

Thanks to images from previous leaks, we know that this phone could feature a triple-camera setup at the rear. While the specifications of second and third cameras remain under wraps, we know that the primary camera uses a 48MP sensor. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, uses a 16MP sensor.

When we reached out to Redmi for a comment about these new devices, they confirmed to us that they weren’t aware of these supposedly new models. They did, however, hint at the possibility of these phones being new devices targets at markets with good 5G coverage.
