
God of Mass Nandamuri Balakrishna also known as NBK is back with another action flick called ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ directed by Krack fame Gopichand Malineni. The film was initially titled NBK 107 as this film marks Balakrishna’s 107th film. Veera Simha Reddy, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, debuted on screens across the world on January 12. Now, finally, the film has premiered on the Disney+ Hotstar platform on February 23rd at 6 PM.

Veera Simha Reddy’s digital streaming rights have been purchased by popular OTT provider Disney+ Hotstar. Earlier, the movie was expected to premiere on the streaming service in the second half of February or the first few days of March. It is also in the news that the streaming rights to Boyapati Srinu’s previous blockbuster movie Akhanda, which also starred Balakrishna, were also acquired by Disney+ Hotstar. The movie will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.

Cast
The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Honey Rose, Naveen Chandra, Easwari Rao, Malayalam actor Lal, Murali Sharma, and other notable actors in pivotal roles, in addition to Kannada actor Duniya Vijay making his Telugu debut. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in the movie. Mythri Movie Makers, owned by Y. Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni, is the company in charge of producing it. Navin Nooli edited the movie. Sai Madhav Burra wrote the dialogue, and AS Prakash was the production designer. Songs like Suguna Sundari, Maa Bava Manobhavalu, and Jai Balayya won the hearts of music enthusiasts.
Plot
The protagonist of the story is Jai (Balakrishna), the proprietor of an auto shop in Istanbul and a rock in the life of his mother Meenakshi (Honey Rose). In spite of their initial disagreement, he meets aspiring singer Isha (Shruti Haasan) at a pub, and they ultimately fall in love. Just as Jai and Isha are preparing to tie the knot, Meenakshi tells Jai details about her background and the legacy of his father, Veera Simha Reddy (Balakrishna) that she has been withholding from him all along.
Reception
However, even after the career-best start of Balakrishna and the strong start in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, collections are lower than Walter Veeraiya, which also debuted on the same day and also starred Shruti Hasan. On the list of the highest-grossing Telugu films ever, Veera Simha Reddy comes in at number 22. This film’s opening day surpasses that of Balakrishna’s last film, Akhanda, which had an opening day of 29.6 crores. It also marks the best opening day of his career. Overall, the film received a positive response from audiences.
