
Months after the announcement of Android 11, Vivo has finally revealed the detailed roadmap and the list of eligible devices for Android 11 update. Vivo’s next version of Android skin will be called FunTouch OS 11. The company has already rolled out Android 11 based FunTouch OS 11 update for its recent offerings – Vivo V20 Pro. This list includes devices ranging from the premium segment to the budget segment. Vivo has also decided to upgrade some of the mid-range devices from 2019 such as Vivo Z1x, and Vivo Z1 Pro. Following is the detailed roll-out schedule for eligible devices,

- Dec 2020: Vivo X50 Pro
- Jan 2021: Vivo V19, Vivo X50
- Mar 2021: Vivo V17 Pro, Vivo V17, Vivo V15 Pro, Vivo S1
- Apr 2021: Vivo S1 Pro, Vivo Z1x, Vivo Z1 Pro
- Jun 2021: Vivo V15
Users must also note that this is the schedule for the FunTouch OS Beta release, and users must not expect stable updates for their devices based on the above-mentioned schedule.
Android 11 comes with several new features such as Conversation Notifications, Chat Bubbles, Notification History, Screen Recording, Smart device controls, and more. Apart from it, Android 11 also comes with enhanced privacy and security.
Vivo says FunTouch OS 11 is inspired by Concise Design philosophy which is all about simplicity and thoughtful details. FunTouch OS 11 presents all key information clearly and provided a convenient and intuitive fingertip control.
It follows a flat design throughout the UI which, Vivo says, is aesthetically simple and powerful. This also helps the company remove all non-essential distractions. FunTouch OS 11 icons feature a uniform soft round design, with customized angular elements to add sharpness.
FunTouch OS 11 also offers an always-on display feature. There are also some natural themes such as sunrise, daytime, sunset, and moonlight for always-on display. There is also an iManager that summarizes and presents information regarding the phone’s performance.
