Most Vivo phones generally prioritize on camera and design. However, its recently unveiled iQOO smartphone was unique due to its focus on the gaming performance. The Vivo iQOO offered top of the line Snapdragon 855 chipset at a competitive price. Now, the Chinese company has added another member to this series. Dubbed as the iQOO Neo, the latest handset promises competent hardware in the mid-range segment.
The Neo is positioned a notch below the original iQOO. Hence, it is powered by the Snapdragon 845, which was found in the last year flagship phones. Vivo has also equipped the phone with vapor cooling technology to retain performance consistency while gaming. There’s even direction aware force-feedback feature. In games like PUBG, this feature makes the phone vibrate in the direction of the gunfire. Making you aware of the danger and take on the opponents right away.
Vivo iQOO Neo Specifications
The Vivo iQOO Neo sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. With its ability to render vibrant colors and deep blacks, this display is ideal for gaming. For better screen-to-body ratio, Vivo has gone with a waterdrop notch. Even the fingerprint sensor in embedded under the screen. As mentioned earlier, the phone houses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset. It comes with Adreno 630 GPU to handle the latest mobile games. You get to choose between 6 GB and 8 GB RAM versions. In terms of internal storage, you can go for 128 GB or settle for half of that.
Although the focus in on the gaming capabilities, Vivo hasn’t taken the photography department lightly. The iQOO Neo comes with a 12 MP rear camera with an 8 MP 108-degree wide lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor. To please the selfie aficionados, there’s a 12 MP front-facing shooter. The iQOO neo is a dual SIM handset with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB type C port. The device draws power from a 4500 mAh battery with quick charging technology. Vivo ships the phone with a 22.5 W charger.
Vivo iQOO Neo Expected Price
The iQOO Neo is already up for pre-orders in China. Vivo will begin shipping the units from July 8. The phone’s base model with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is priced at 1798 yuan, which is equivalent to Rs 18,000. The 6 GB variant with 128 GB storage gets a 1998 yuan price tag, which translates to Rs 20,000. For 8 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, you will have to part with 2098 yuan (Approx. Rs 21,000). Lastly, the top model comprising of 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage will set you back for 2298 yuan (roughly Rs 23,000). At this point, there’s no information regarding the iQOO neo’s global rollout. However, considering its specs, it can get a lot of traction in countries like India.
