Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has announced through Weibo that its iQOO smartphone has survived a fall from a height of 31,000 meters. According to the video posted by iQOO, the brand sent the iQOO smartphone to 31,000 meters above sea level using an industrial-grade Hydrogen balloon. And made the smartphone fall from there. The device landed on the ground without any major damage. The screen protector that was on display suffered multiple cracks, but the device along with its screen remained intact. According to iQOO, it was a free fall, but I am not quite sure about this because the video doesn’t show it in detail.

Of course, iQOO has performed this activity to demonstrate that the iQOO smartphone has a robust build quality, and it can withstand extreme usage conditions. The iQOO is the first smartphone from the brand, and the company wants to gain as much traction as it can, may it be through advertisements, social media, or activities like this one.
