Vivo X Fold with 80W Fast Charging Support Listed on 3C Certification Website

Vivo is gearing up to launch its foldable device. The company is rumoured to launch new foldable devices in the coming days 一 the Vivo X Fold. The X Fold was is expected to launch as the first foldable phone from the brand and the same foldable’s design was leaked earlier today. Now, the company’s foldable, Vivo X Fold has been spotted on the 3C certification website revealing the charging speed of the upcoming device.

A Vivo device with model number V2178A has been listed on the 3C certification database, which is China Compulsory Certification. This model number corresponds to the Vivo X Fold device, which is expected to launch in China in the coming days. The listing reveals the phone will come with support for 20V, 4A charging, which corresponds to 80W fast charging. Apart from 80W, the X Fold will also support 10W (5V, 2A), 18W (9V, 2A), and  66W (11V, 6A) fast charging standards.


Apart from the mention of fast charging, the certification also confirms the phone will come with support for the 5G network. Other features and specifications are unknown at the moment.

The Vivo X Fold specifications were leaked a few days back and here is what we know so far. The Vivo X Fold is said to come with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ cover display and it will also come with a 120Hz  outer display with a Full HD+ resolution. The device is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and will sport a 4600mAh battery. The foldable is said to come with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Vivo X Fold has been listed on the TENAA certification site as well, but the website hasn’t revealed any specs for the time being. The TENAA database confirms the V2178A model number and also 5G network support.

In the meantime, the company is also prepping to launch Vivo Tablet under NEX branding.
