Smartphone giant Vivo is rumoured to launch its new tablet soon. The Vivo Pad could debut later this year in China. The company has not yet announced the device’s launch details yet. It is expected to launch the tablet in other markets outside China soon after the launch.
While we wait for the official launch details, a new report has leaked the Vivo Pad specifications. Tipster Digital Chat Station (via GizmoChina) has listed the display, camera and performance unit details of the upcoming Vivo tablet. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Pad specifications, features and other details leaked online.
Vivo Pad specifications
Vivo Pad is likely to launch later this year as a mid-range tablet offering. The tablet is rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 870 SoC. This means that the tablet could be used for gaming or performing any other intense tasks like editing videos. Tipster Digital Chat Station has also listed the battery specs of the Vivo tablet. The device is said to pack an 8040 mAh battery. It will support 44W fast charging out of the box.
At the front, there will be an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The screen will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. It is currently unknown if Vivo will use an AMOLED panel or an LCD.
On the back, there will be a dual-camera setup. The tablet will have a 13MP main camera sensor and an 8MP secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, the device will have an 8MP front camera. There will not be a fingerprint scanner on the rear or side, which means that the tablet will offer AI face unlock. It could be possible that the device comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner provided Vivo opts for an AMOLED display.
Reports in the past claimed that the tablet will have slim bezels and a hole-punch cutout at the top for the screen to offer a higher screen-to-body ratio. The tab is also expected to come with Android 12-based Origin OS out of the box.
The Vivo tablet could be launched in China for around CNY 1599 (roughly Rs 18,800). It is advised to take the leaked pricing with a pinch of salt. We will share more details as and when available. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Vivo tablet? Do let us know in the comments below.
