Vivo Pad and Laptops to Launch Later This Year in India; Vivo Plans to Set-up Apple Store Like Experience Centers

Vivo plans to expand its offering in India and also expand its offline presence.


Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo X80 series smartphones in India this week. The company is will launch the Vivo X80 Pro and the Vivo X80 smartphones in India on May 18. While this is the company’s plan for now, in the latter part of India, the company is planning to expand its offering to tablets and even laptops.

Further, the company also plans to set up Apple stores like experience stores in India. A new report from 91mobiles says Vivo is planning to launch the Vivo Pad Android tablet and even Vivo Book, which will be a new range of laptops from the company.

Vivo to Launch Tablet and Laptop in India

As per the report, the company is planning to launch the Vivo Pad in Inida. The Vivo Pad tablet was launched in China back in April. Also, the brand is said to launch the Vivo Book laptops, which we have not seen in China as well. It is also worth mentioning that, Asus is already selling laptops under Vivobook branding, so Vivo might have to use a different moniker. These two products are expected to launch in India in the next quarter, which is between July to August 2022.

Furthermore, Vivo is also said to have plans to set up Apple tire-like experience stores across India in the next 2 to 3 quarters. The experience centre could be a hub for all Vivo products like smartphones, audio devices, tablets, laptops, and much more. With stores like these, users will be able to check out products and even buy them.

The Vivo Pad tablet comes with an 11-inch 2.5K display and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it features a Snapdragon 870 processor and it is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. On the inside, the phone comes with an 8,040 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It also has a quad stereo speaker setup but misses out on the 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP front camera. The tablet boots Android 11-based Origin OS out of the box.
