A new Vivo smartphone has made its debut in the Philippines today – the Vivo S1 Pro. Don’t confuse it for the Vivo S1 Pro that was launched in China back in May. The Vivo S1 Pro launched in the Philippines today, and the one that launched in China are different in many aspects. Anyway, the Vivo S1 Pro launched today comes as an advanced variant of the Vivo S1 that was launched in July this year.
The Vivo S1 Pro was recently spotted on Vivo’s Indonesian website, suggesting that the smartphone will first make it to the Indonesian market. However, the Philippines is the first country to get it. The Vivo S1 Pro features a similar design language as the recently launched, range-topping, Vivo S5. However, the Vivo S1 Pro has slightly downgraded hardware compared to the Vivo S5, as the former is a more affordable offering. Vivo has launched the S1 Pro in the Philippines in only one variant – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – at P15,999. Currently, there is no information about the exact date when the device will go on pre-orders and sale.

The Vivo S1 Pro has a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The display has a U-shaped notch. Currently, there is no information about what kind of display protection does the Vivo S1 Pro offers.
The Vivo S1 Pro has four rear cameras – a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 32MP unit.
The smartphone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. And the smartphone comes in only one memory configuration – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The device comes with Android 9 Pie OS that has FunTouch OS 9.2 on top.
