Vivo S17 Pro Spotted on Geekbench With MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, Listed on Google Play Supported Devices List Ahead of Launch on May 31

Vivo S17 series is set to go official on May 31 in China. The company is likely to launch the S17 and S17 Pro. The devices will sit above the already-launched S17e. Vivo has not confirmed any major details about the S17 series ahead of the launch. However, thanks to a new Geekbench listing, some key specifications of the S17 Pro have leaked online. The Geekbench listing confirms the performance unit details of the S17 Pro.

Vivo might launch the phone in other markets under the V-series in the coming months. Let’s take a look at the Vivo S17 Pro specifications, features and other details known so far.

Vivo S17 Pro Geekbench Listing Confirms Key Specifications

The Vivo S17 Pro will sit at the top of the upcoming S-series lineup in China. It has been spotted on Geekbench with the model number V2284A. As per the listing on Geekbench, the S17 Pro draws power from a MediaTek processor with the model number k6895v1_64. The octa-core SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.10GHz. It also features three performance cores clocked at 3.0GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Based on this, we can say that the S17 Pro will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC.

The variant of the S17 Pro 5G listed on Geekbench has 12GB of RAM. It is likely to launch with at least 256GB of storage. The listing further revealed that the S17 Pro scored 1043 and 4076 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The phone can be seen running Android 13 out of the box. It should have a layer of Origin OS 3 on top of Android for the China market. The global variants might feature Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.

The phone has also been spotted on the Google Play Console database, which confirms the phone’s model number and moniker. Other details about the S17 Pro confirmed by Vivo include a triple-camera setup with an LED flash inside a rectangular camera module. The phone has a curved back panel and frame. It also sports a curved OLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. As per a TENAA listing, the S17 Pro has a 6.78-inch display with a 1.5K resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels. The phone is said to feature a 50MP front camera sensor.

The rear camera setup is likely to feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

The phone is said to measure 164.18 x 74.37 x 7.46mm and weigh about 188 grams. The device might launch globally as the V29 Pro.
