Vivo S5: Price, Availability

Vivo has launched the S5 in China in two memory configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The 128GB storage variant costs CNY 2,698, and the 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of CNY 2,998. The smartphone will be up for pre-orders starting tomorrow, that is, from November 15. Vivo S5: Specifications

The Vivo S5 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display, as I said earlier, has a punch aligned to the top right corner of the display. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The device has 48MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP quad-camera setup at the rear. The 48MP camera, as you might have guessed, is the primary sensor. The 8MP camera is an ultrawide unit. The 5MP camera is a depth sensor, and the 2MP sensor is a macro camera. For selfies, you get a 32MP unit.

The Vivo S5 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 12nm-based Snapdragon 712 chipset. It has eight Kryo 360 CPU cores and Adreno 616 GPU. The device, as you might expect, runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system with FunTouch 9.1 on top.

The device features a 4100mAh battery supporting 22.5W fast charging. Connectivity options of the device include USB Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and dual-SIM 4G with VoLTE. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm audio jack in the device.
