Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its brand new Vivo S6 smartphone. The Vivo S6 will be a 5G device and will launch on March 31, 2020. Right ahead of the launch, we have received a lot of key information surrounding the device, notably some of its specifications and features. Well, more on what we know later. For now, let’s talk about what’s new. Earlier today, Vivo officially teased the Vivo S6 5G smartphone on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The promotional poster for the device showcases its back in all its glory. Take a look at the promotional poster for the Vivo S6 5G smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.
Vivo S6 5G with 48MP Quad Camera Setup Launching on March 31, 2020
As seen in the promotional poster, the Vivo S6 5G will sport a quadruple rear camera setup, which will be aligned in a circular fashion. Right underneath the camera module, we can spot an LED flash. At the very bottom, there’s this Vivo 5G branding. Other than all this, the remaining back of the Vivo S6 5G is left vacant, leading us to assume that the device will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Speaking of the rear camera setup, the Vivo S6 5G will feature a 48MP primary sensor.

The device has already been listed on the Chinese e-commerce website Suning, where the 48MP camera has been confirmed. The product page for the Vivo S6 5G, and even the promotional poster teased by Vivo on Weibo showcase only one color variant of the device. We can, however, expect that there will be more color options to choose from. Another thing worth noticing in the promotional poster is the fact that the Vivo S6 5G will retain a 3.5mm headphone jack, which will be located at the top of the device.

Though the battery capacity of the Vivo S6 5G is not confirmed till now, the Chinese 3C certification website the device was spotted on has already revealed that it will support up to 18W fast charging (9Vdc, 2A). In another promotional video for the device, the company has hinted that the Vivo S6 5G could feature a pop-up selfie snapper, but this has not been confirmed as of now. The rest of the specifications are also relatively unknown as of now, but we can safely expect the Vivo S6 5G to run the latest Android 10 OS out of the box. Plus, considering that it is a 5G handset, it could possibly feature at least 6GB to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
