Vivo has teased the launch of its new T-series in India. The company will launch the first smartphone under the Vivo T-series in India on February 9 – the same day Redmi announces its Note 11 series in India. The first smartphone to debut under the Vivo T-series is the T1 5G.
The device was launched in China last year. It has been rumoured to debut in India for quite a few weeks. Vivo has made the event page of the T1 5G live on its official website. The landing page confirms some of the key features of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Vivo T1 5G specifications and features ahead of its official launch in India.
Vivo T1 5G India Launch Details
Vivo T1 5G will be a mid-range smartphone offering from the company. The phone could be priced under or around Rs 25,000 in India, based on the specs on offer.
The event page confirms that the India variant will have a rectangular camera module with a triple-camera setup on the back. It will also have a cooling system and a “Turbo screen”, hinting at a high refresh rate support.
The China variant comes with a 120Hz refresh rate panel. It also sports a triple-camera setup on the back. Therefore, we expect the India variant to share the same set of specs and features. In all likelihood, the T1 5G India variant will come with a 64MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone will feature a 16MP front camera.
At the front, there will be a 6.67-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It will have an LCD panel as opposed to some phones that come with an AMOLED panel in the sub-Rs 25,000 price range.
Under the hood, the phone will come with a Snapdragon 778G SoC. The China variant comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. We can expect the same for the T1’s India models.
The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It comes with Android 11 out of the box and is expected to have a layer of Funtouch OS 12 on top. The phone also has a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Vivo smartphone? Do let us know in the comments below.
