Vivo has launched its first T-series smartphone in India. The company has launched the T1 5G as a new smartphone under Rs 20,000. As the name suggests, the Vivo T1 comes with 5G network support. The device comes with some minor tweaks over the model launched in China.

The Vivo T1 5G India variant comes with a Snapdragon 695 SoC under the hood. In comparison, the China variant has a Snapdragon 778G SoC. It houses a triple-camera setup on the back. Vivo T1 5G price in India

Vivo has launched the T1 5G in three storage options in India. All three storage options come with 128GB of internal storage as standard. The base model has 4GB of RAM and is priced at Rs 15,990. The 6GB and 8GB RAM options are priced at Rs 16,990 and Rs 19,990, respectively. As part of launch offers, the company is offering a Rs 1,000 discount for HDFC Bank cardholders,

The device will go on sale starting February 14 via Flipkart, Vivo e-store.

Specifications and features

The T1 5G India variant has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The choice of chipset makes the device 5G-ready. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage via a microSD card. 

For thermal management, the phone has a 5-layer turbo cooling system. It is also claimed to be the slimmest smartphone in its price range. The device is 8.25mm thick and weighs 187 grams.

At the front, there is a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD. The phone has a 120Hz refresh rate display with a waterdrop notch on top. It also comes with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.

It comes with a triple-camera setup on the back. The device has a 50MP main camera sensor, accompanied by two 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro photography. The device does not feature an ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP front camera sensor.

The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock support. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. The phone runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.
