Vivo, the smartphone brand better known for its high-end camera-centric smartphones, is not leaving the budget segment behind in India. The Chinese tech firm will soon be launching its much-anticipated and rather affordable offering, the Vivo T1x. The device, which is expected to arrive within the next couple of days, seems to have a promising set of specifications and features that may give other handset leaders and potential rivals like Xiaomi and Samsung, a tough time.
The company has already been teasing the T1x smartphone on social media channels, revealing the right amount of features to keep the hype train alive. However, a lot more features seem to have unofficially made their way on the internet in the form of leaks and rumours. Vivo T1x: Launch Date, Event Time, Where to Watch It Live
Vivo fans probably know by now that Vivo T1x will be launching in India on July 20, 2022, which is just a day’s wait away. The launch date of the device was announced last week. It is also worth adding that the device will be arriving on the same day as Xiaomi’s Redmi K50i – which we have covered as well.
One can expect Vivo to not just reveal the pricing details but also the date on which it will be hitting the shelves. We can also see a teaser page on partner e-commerce website Flipkart, but that too doesn’t reveal the sale date yet.
The Vivo T1x launch event will be streamed on the company’s YouTube channel and other social media channels.
Vivo T1x: Expected Price in India
Naturally, the official price has not been revealed for now. However, the rumours and leaks have given us some idea of what to expect for the Vivo T1x. As per a recent report by 91 Mobiles, the T1X will launch in India for Rs 11,999. This price will be specifically for the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The price of the variant with higher RAM and storage capacity will be more. There are at least two more variants other than the base model.
At this price tag, the smartphone could compete with the Redmi 10 or Realme 9i as they both fall in the same segment. As it has been promoted heavily on social media, the smartphone will be going on sale via Vivo’s company online shopping website and Flipkart.
Vivo T1x: Expected Sale Date
As mentioned above, Vivo has not yet revealed the details on when the Vivo T1x will be hitting the shelves in India. However, we can expect it to reveal them at the time of the launch. We expect the handset to at least go on pre-orders on the launch day if not already available to buy.
Vivo T1x: Expected Specifications and Features
Not a lot has been revealed officially about the specifications and features of the Vivo T1x. The handset has not yet been launched in other countries, so it is anybody’s guess when it comes to the specs. However, leaks and rumours have given us a rough spec sheet. In addition, a couple of features have been mentioned by the brand on the landing page and on social media. So, these are some of the key features one can look forward to.
Segment first four-layer cooling system
This seems to be one of the key selling points of the upcoming Vivo T1x smartphone. The company has been promoting the device as the segment’s first to feature this cooling system. The description on the website says nothing more than “A cooling solution across four components keeps T1x cool even in intense combat.”
Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor
Doubling down the focus on performance, Vivo is also promoting the T1x for harnessing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset’s power. The octa-core processor is not new but may deliver a fairly good performance for the segment considering its 6nm manufacturing build, making it efficient and up to 2.4Ghz clock speed. This might be also pitched as a gaming smartphone in the sub-Rs 15,000 segments.
50MP Super Night Camera
The camera is another feature that is being touted for the Vivo T1x smartphone. The images show that the handset has a dual rear camera setup and a single front-facing camera for selfies. The website does give us some more detail. The main camera will feature a 50MP sensor, while the secondary camera will be for Super Macro shots. Some other confirmed features include Super HDR, Super Night Mode and Multi-style Portrait.
Vivo T1x: Other Specifications and Features
While Vivo confirms the aforementioned specifications, there are other features that come as rumours. As per the previous reports, the Vivo T1x is expected to sport a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution. It may also have a 90Hz refresh rate panel. There may not be an on-screen fingerprint scanner but a side-mounted one on the power button. While we have talked about the rear cameras above, the front camera is rumoured to have an 8MP sensor. As for the battery, the T1x is said to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging tech.
