Vivo U20 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage Variant Launched in India: Price, Sale Offers, Features

As speculated early this month, Vivo has rolled out the 8 GB variant of its U20 smartphone. This model comes with 128 GB of internal storage. The phone comes with a reflective back and a fancy gradient paint job. Launched on December 2, the Vivo U20 was available in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM versions. And while the earlier variants are available for purchase via e-commerce websites, the 8 GB model will only be sold via brick and mortar shops at least for now.

Vivo U20 Features

The U20 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 chipset. It comprises of two Kryo 460 Gold cores clocked at 2 GHz and six Kryo 460 Silver cores peaking at 1.7 GHz. As mentioned earlier, this particular model comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. You can expand it further via a microSD card slot. The Vivo U20 sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD. As per the Chinese company, the handset has a screen-to-body ratio of over 90 percent.

Moving onto the photography front, the phone is equipped with the triple camera setup. It comprises of a 16 MP snapper accompanied by an 8 MP wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro lens. For selfies, you get a 16 MP front-facing shooter. The Vivo U20 support 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, A-GPS, and a 3.5 headphone jack. The phone houses a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging. It also supports reverse charging via a USB OTG. Unfortunately, Vivo has opted for a dated micro USB over a Type C port. The handset runs Android 9.0 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.1 skin. Vivo has baked in Widevine L1 certification, which lets you access Netflix in HD. There’s also a dedicated Multi Turbo mode for gaming.

Vivo U20 Price, Sale Offers

The Vivo U20 with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is pegged at Rs 17,990. The pricing is quite steep considering the 4 GB and 6 GB models are priced at Rs 10,990 and Rs 11,990 respectively.

TO sweeten the deal, Vivo is offering five percent cashback on transactions made on HDFC, ICICI, and Axis credit cards. You must hurry though, as the offer ends with the current year. The Chinese company has also partnered with Reliance to offer Rs 6,000 worth benefits on the Jio network.
