After a big bunch of leaks and rumors, Vivo has finally launched the Vivo V17 smartphone in India. As it turns out, the previous reports surrounding the specifications and the looks of the device were indeed legitimate and it all has got confirmed now. Let’s have a look at the price and the specifications of the Vivo V17.

Vivo V17: Price in India

The Vivo V17 has been kept at an asking price of INR 22,990 in India. The company has launched only one memory variant in the country that has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device comes in two color variants – Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice.

If you want to buy the Vivo V17 in India, you can buy the device starting from December 17 that happens to be the date the device will go the first sale on in the country. The device will sell from all the major online platforms in India including the likes of Flipkart, Amazon, Tata CLiQ, and Paytm Mall. The device will also sell via offline retail stores. To add to it, the company has announced that the buyers of the device will get a pair of Vivo XE710 worth INR 1,999 for free in the box.

Vivo V17: Specifications and Features

The Vivo V17 features a 6.44-inch OLED ‘iView’ display with an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels), a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 404 pixels per inch pixel density. The display of the Vivo V17 comes with a tiny punch-hole at the top right corner. As a matter of fact, the punch-hole is the “world’s tiniest punch-hole cutout” as claimed by the company.

The punch-hole makes room for a 32MP selfie shooter with an f/2.45 aperture lens. Speaking of cameras, the Vivo V17 features a quad rear camera setup (48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor + 8MP (f/2.2) secondary shooter + 2MP (f/2.4) bokeh lens + 2MP (f/2.4) macro unit. The L-shaped camera module is accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. The camera comes with features like Ultra Stable video, portrait mode, various AI modes, and Super Night mode.

The Vivo V17 comes equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The internal storage can be expanded with the help of an external SD card. One should, however, keep in mind that the Vivo V17 has a hybrid SIM slot which means that one can either use two SIM cards at a time or one SIM card and one microSD card.

A 4,500mAh battery keeps the lights of the Vivo V17 on. The battery supports dual-engine 18W fast charging tech. Furthermore, we get a USB Type-C charging port with the device. Moving on to the OS, the Vivo V7 runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with the company’s in-house FunTouchOS on top of it.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Hotspot, and WiFi Direct.
