Vivo is set to launch the Vivo V17 smartphone on December 9. A little while ago, we got to know about the specifications and the images of the device courtesy of 91Mobiles. Now, the same source has leaked a new hands-on video of the Vivo V17 which showcases the device in all its glory. The video is just 9 seconds long, but it gives us a glimpse of the device from both the front and back.

As seen in the video, the Vivo V17 will feature a punch-hole display and an L-shaped rear camera module. The LED flash can be seen sitting on the right side of the camera array. At the bottom left corner of the device’s rear, we can see the Vivo branding.
Vivo V17 specifications and price
Starting things off with the price of the device, the Vivo V17 is tipped to be priced somewhere around INR 20,000 in India. The device will be available in both online and offline retail stores in the country.
As far as the specifications of the device are concerned, the Vivo V17 will feature a 6.44-inch full-HD+ OLED with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a pixel density of 404 pixels per inch. The device will launch in two color variants in India – Glacier Ice and Midnight Ocean. We will get to see an under-display fingerprint scanner coming up with the Vivo V17.
Under the hood, the Vivo V17 will be powered with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset which will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There will be scope for further expansion with the help of an external SD card.
A 4,500mAh battery will fuel the Vivo V17. The battery will have support for up to 18W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
Speaking of cameras, the Vivo V17 will sport a quad-camera setup at the back (48MP, f/1.8 primary sensor + 8MP, f/2.2 + 2MP + 2MP) which will be arranged in an L-shaped pattern as seen in the video. At the front, we will be getting a 32MP selfie shooter.
Moving on to the OS, the Vivo V17 will run on Android 9 Pie out of the box with FunTouchOS on top of it. Speaking of FunTouchOS, this scenario might soon change as the company is reportedly going to introduce an all-new custom skin dubbed Jovi OS alongside the upcoming Vivo X30 series of smartphones.
