Chinese certification agency 3C has certified an upcoming Vivo smartphone bearing the model number V1821A. This is the first time that the device has made an appearance online, so there is not much that we know about it. However, going by the details revealed by 3C listing, it is expected to be an upper mid-range smartphone.
Vivo V1821A Receives 3C Certification in China
As some of you may be aware, China’s 3C certification agency does not reveal a lot of information about the devices it certifies. The Vivo V1821A 3C listing only tells us that the smartphone will support TD-LTE networks and come with a V2323A-CN charger in the box. Interestingly, Vivo V2323A-CN is the same charger that Vivo bundles with its flagship NEX smartphones. It supports up to 22.5W fast charging. Needless to say, Vivo will not bundle a 22.5W charger in the box with an entry-level or budget Android smartphone. Quite clearly, the Vivo V1821A is going to be an upper mid-range smartphone, similar to the Vivo X23 that the company unveiled a few weeks back in China. There is also a possibility of it being the company’s next flagship smartphone.
In case the Vivo V1821A is an upper mid-range smartphone, we can expect it to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor under the hood. In terms of design, the smartphone is very likely to share a lot in common with the company’s recent mid-range devices such as the Vivo X23 and Vivo Z3. The recent Vivo mid-range smartphones all sport a Halo FullView display with a teardrop notch at the top and vertically-stacked dual-cameras on the back. Another feature that the Vivo V1812A is likely to come with is an in-display fingerprint sensor. While the smartphone’s spec sheet remains a total mystery at this point, we expect to find out more about the key features of the V1812A once it shows up on the TENAA website. Since the smartphone has received 3C certification, it may not take very long for the smartphone to be certified by TENAA as well as other Chinese certification agencies.
