vivo upcoming smartphones

Last month, a report from 91Mobiles claimed that Vivo will launch the V19 and the V19 Pro smartphones in India by March 2020, before the commencement of IPL. And now, in its new report, the publication reveals that the pre-orders of both the smartphones will commence in the Indian market by the end of February, just before their launch in the country.

Pre-orders are usually limited to online stores, since not many people pay upfront at a local store to pre-order a smartphone. While pre-orders may be available only for online customers, the brand might make the V19 and the V19 Pro available to purchase through the offline stores, since every device that Vivo sells is available through both kinds of platforms.

Going by the naming convention, the V19, and the V19 Pro will come as advanced variants to Vivo’s V17 and the V17 Pro respectively, both of which were launched in India back in December. Reports online suggest that V19 could be priced between INR 20,000 and INR 25,000, whereas, the V19 Pro could cost anywhere between INR 25,000 to INR 30,000

Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the specification of either device. That being said, expect them to pack punch-hole display with fingerprint readers, Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, a quad-camera setup at the rear, large batteries, fast charging capabilities, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio ports, and funky color options.

If the V19 and the V19 Pro do launch at their expected price, the V19 will compete directly with Realme X2 and Xiaomi Redmi K20, and the V19 Pro will go head to head against Realme X2 Pro and Redmi K20 Pro. And it is hard for V19 and V19 Pro to get ahead of those devices, as the ones from Realme and Xiaomi pack class-leading features and handsets from Vivo aren’t known for having great value for money factor.
