Vivo V20 is all set to hit the Indian shores pretty soon. We got to know from our industry sources that the brand is preparing to launch two smartphones in the V-series in India on October 12. Vivo has started teasing the launch of V20 smartphone along with some key information. The phone was launched in Thailand along with Vivo V20 Pro and comes with some interesting features like 44MP selfie shooter, triple-camera setup, premium design, and more. In this article, we will take an in-depth look at the specifications and key features of the Vivo V20 smartphone. So, without any ado, let’s begin.

Vivo V20: Expected Price

Vivo confirmed the upcoming smartphone will be available on Flipkart. The e-commerce platform made live a dedicated page for the Vivo V20, which reveals that the phone will cost between INR 20,00 to INR 30,000 range. For your reference, the Vivo V17 was launched in India at INR 22,990, while the V17 Pro was priced at INR 27,990. So, one could expect it to be available in this price range.

The Vivo V20 is touted to be the slimmest smartphone in this price range. The phone is just 7.38mm thin and weighs at 171 grams making it a lightweight phone. The back panel comes with AG Matte Glass, which prevents fingerprint smudges and scratches. You get a rectangular-shaped camera module that houses three cameras, while the LED flash sits at the metal plate right beneath it. The front panel comes waterdrop notch. The Vivo V20 is available in three different colour options including Sunset Melody, Midnight Jazz, and Moonlight Sonata.

The handset is loaded with a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The phone features 408ppi pixel density, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 2000000:1 contrast ratio. Sadly, there is no higher screen refresh rate available in the V20 smartphone.

Under the hood, the Vivo V20 equips the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor along with Adreno 618 GPU. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The memory can be expanded using the microSD card slot.

In terms of software, the Vivo V20 will be the first smartphone from the company to run on Android 11. The handset runs on FunTouch OS 11, which is based on the latest operating system. It comes with interesting features like the Ultra Game Mode for enhanced gaming experience; Dynamic Sky for adding animation to still images; Memory Recaller to restore clarity old images instantly; and more.

Coming to the cameras, the Vivo V20 is loaded with 44MP Eye Autofocus front camera that the brand claims can focus sharply from 15cm and zoom out to infinity. The new Eye Autofocus feature allows to track the eyes of the subject and capture sharp images even if the subject is moving. It also features Super Night Selfie enhances facial details in low-lit conditions and 4K selfie video that might attract vloggers. Other front camera features include Dual-View Mode, Steadiface Selfie Video, Slo-Mo Selfie Video, Multi-Style Portrait and more.

Coming the rear, the phone flaunts triple-camera setup with a combination of 64MP primary lens with f/1.89 aperture, 8MP wide-angle lens that doubles as a macro shooter, and 2MP monochrome lens. The phone features Super Night Mode that that add broader perspectives with special filters to capture great low-light images. It comes with Motion Autofocus feature that will track the subject while maintaining continuous focus throughout. Then there is Smart Zoon, Art Portrait Video, Super Macro, Bokeh Portrait, Multi-Style Portrait, and more features you can play with it.

Lastly, coming to the battery, the Vivo V20 packs a 4,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging solution. The company claims that one can charge the device up to 65 per cent in just 30 minutes. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB OTG, and a USB Type-C port.
