It seems that Vivo is planning for the launch of its next array of smartphones in the V-series. According to a report from 91Mobiles, Vivo 2018 (V20 Pro) and Vivo 2020 (V20 SE) have been spotted on the NBTC certification site. The listing didn’t reveal much about the smartphones, but it does confirm the names hinting towards an imminent launch. Meanwhile, the Vivo V20 SE is also listed on the China Quality Certification website, which confirms that the smartphone will pack 33W fast charging support.
Vivo V2022 (V20 SE) Geekbench and Indonesian Certification Site
As per the report, the smartphone with model number V2022 was surfaced on the IMDA certification website last week. Now a handset with a similar model number has been spotted on the Indonesian Telecom website confirming that the smartphone will be launched as Vivo V20 SE. Later the handset was also spotted on multiple certification websites. The Geekbench 5 listing of the device also revealed some of the specifications.
Geekbench listing suggests that the upcoming Vivo V20 SE will be powered by an octa-core Trinket SoC, with 1.80GHz clock speed. In case if you don’t know, Trinket is the codename of Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The listing also confirmed that the phone will be backed by 8GB RAM which might be the highest amount of RAM option on offer for the smartphone.
On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 10 out of the box with FunTouch OS on top. The smartphone has managed to score 316 points in the single-core test and 1377 in the multi-core test. Even though the smartphone has been listed on several certification websites, we still don’t have any information about the camera or battery specifications.
The Vivo V20 SE is going to be the successor of the Vivo V19. To recall, the V19 was launched in India on May 15th, 2020. The smartphone was launched with a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a dual punch-hole camera. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with up to 8GB RAM.
At the back, the Vivo V19 features a quad-camera setup with the combination of a 48-megapixel primary camera + 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens + 2-megapixel macro sensor + 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED flash. The smartphone is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery and runs the Android 10 operating system. It was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 27,249.
