Vivo has officially teased the launch of the V23 series in India. The ad teaser of the Vivo V23 Pro 5G popped up today during the Pro Kabaddi League on Star Sports. The advertisement video reveals the design and camera details of the Vivo V23 Pro. It ends with a coming soon message. While there is no official launch date, a report leaked earlier today mentioned that it will launch in the first week of January 2022.

Vivo V23 Pro has been spotted on various certifications websites recently. The Geekbench website confirms the presence of Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC and 8GB of RAM in the device. A video teaser played during the Pro Kabaddi League on Star Sports revealed the complete design, camera details and colour of the Vivo V23 Pro 5G. The phone will be available in Sunshine Gold colour, there’s a high chance that Vivo will use Changeable Fluorite Glass design on the V23 Pro as reported previously. This means that the device’s rear panel will change its colour when exposed to sunlight and UV light. The design of the Vivo V23 Pro is very similar to the Vivo S12 series launched in China.

The ad video further shows that V23 Pro will have an Ultra slim 3D curved display whose thickness is said to be 7.36mm. Vivo V23 Pro 5G will pack a triple camera setup on its rear side with a 64MP primary sensor. The other two sensors could be a 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor.

It is expected to feature a Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The Vivo V23 Pro is confirmed to be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC and will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 12 based FunTouch OS 12 out of the box. Vivo could add up to 5GB of virtual memory to the phone. It will come with 55W fast charging support.
