Vivo V27 5G with 12GB RAM, Android 13 Visits Geekbench; Expected to Launch Soon

Vivo is rumoured to launch the V27 series soon in India. The company might launch as many as four smartphones in the lineup. These will include the V27 4G, V27 5G, V27 Pro 5G and the V27e 5G. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch. However, the V27 series might launch soon in various markets, including India. While we wait for the launch date, a new leak has revealed the key specifications of the vanilla Vivo V27 5G models.

The Vivo V27 5G has been spotted on the Geekbench website. The listing on Geekbench reveals some key details about the phone’s performance unit. Let’s take a look at the Vivo V27 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.


Vivo V27 5G Specifications and Features 

The Vivo V27 5G will launch as a new premium 5G smartphone in India and other markets later this year. It is expected to launch very soon. Ahead of the launch, the V27 5G has visited the Geekbench website with the model number V2246. As per the Geekbench listing, the phone has an unannounced SoC codenamed MT6886V. At the moment, the official moniker of the SoC is unknown. The listing reveals that the SoC has eight cores, two of which have a peak clock speed of 2.8GHz. The other six cores have a peak clock speed of 2.0GHz. It also has a Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, which suggests that the V27 5G will come with a MediaTek SoC.

The phone has been listed on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM. It will run Android 13 out of the box. The phone’s global variant will have a layer of Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.

The listing also revealed that the V27 5G has scored 845 and 2217 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

Other details about the V27 5G are unknown at the moment. The phone is rumoured to have some features and hardware shared with the Vivo S16 5G, which was launched a few weeks back in China. However, the S16 5G in China has a Snapdragon 870 SoC. Therefore, it is unlikely that the global variant will pack the same specs as the S16 5G from China.

The V27 5G could sport a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple-camera setup, etc. We will share more details about the phone as and when available.
