Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo V27 series in India. The company had confirmed the launch of the smartphone in India. A few days ago, the landing page of the V27 series went live on Flipkart. The Chinese smartphone giant has revealed that it will also be sold in its e-Store along with Flipkart. The poster shows that the V27 series smartphones are coming to India. It indicated the launch of the smartphone by the end of February 2023. The poster didn’t reveal any specifications or launch date of the smartphone. A reliable tipster Gadgetsdata has tipped the launch date of the Vivo V27 Pro smartphone.
Vivo V27 Pro to Launch Initially in India
The tipster has revealed through a report on TheTechOutlook that Vivo will initially launch the V27 Pro smartphone. He said the brand would unveil the V27 Pro smartphone on February 25th in India. He also added that the other smartphones in the series, i.e., Vivo V27 and V27e, will be launched in a later stage.
The promotional posters of the upcoming smartphones were also leaked, which confirmed the launch of the V27 series smartphones. The tipster hasn’t revealed the launch date for the other smartphones in the series. There are no reports on the pricing of smartphones in India. However, a report revealed that the V27 Pro would be available in the Rs 40000 segment in India.
There were a few reports that Vivo would rebrand the Vivo S16 series launched in December 2022 in China. It was tipped that Vivo V27 Pro would feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. Later, the V27 Pro smartphone was listed in Google Play Console with the same chipset. The Vivo V27e smartphone was also listed in Google Play Console along with the V27 Pro smartphone.
The Google Play Console listing reveals that the smartphone will have the model number V2230. The listing also shows that it will sport a display with 1080 x 2400-pixel resolution and a pixel density of 440ppi. The MediaTek MT6896Z chipset underneath the device has four × Cortex A78-based cores and four × Cortex A55-based cores.
The smartphone is expected to be available in two variants, i.e., 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256 GB. Vivo will equip the smartphone with a color-changing back panel, which will be available in Black and a color-changing Blue variant. If the smartphone is a rebranded Vivo S16 Pro, it will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the optics side, it would feature a triple-rear camera setup comprising a primary 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor with OIS. A 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor will accompany the sensor. The display houses the 16MP selfie camera inside a punch-hole in the center. A 4600mAh battery with 66W fast charging tech backs it.
