The leak by tipster Paras Guglani suggests that the Vivo V29 Pro will launch in India as early as June.

The tipster also shared an image of the upcoming teaser, which hints at the front and rear panel design of the top-end V-series smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Vivo V29 series specifications, features and other details.

Vivo V29 Pro: Launch Details and Specifications (Expected)

The Vivo V29 Pro will debut as a successor to the V27 Pro, launched earlier this year in India. The phone is likely to launch next month in India. Tipster Guglani shared an image which hints at an imminent launch of the V29 Pro. The tipster claims the V29 Pro India launch event will be hosted in June 2023. However, he did not reveal the exact launch date of the device at the time of writing this.

The image teases the curved front and rear panels of the V29 Pro. It has the Vivo branding at the bottom left corner of the back panel. The leak surfaced a day after the V29 Pro specifications leaked online. According to the leaked details, the V29 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch curved display. The OLED panel will offer support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also feature a Full HD+ resolution.

On the back, the V29 Pro is said to feature a triple-camera setup. It might feature a 64MP primary camera sensor on the back. The report did not reveal any details about the other two sensors. It is likely that the phone might feature an ultra-wide shooter and a macro lens. For selfies, the V29 Pro features a 50MP front camera sensor.

Under the hood, the phone will feature a 5000mAh battery. It is said to offer 66W fast charging support. The device will also provide 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Guglani also revealed that the V29 Lite will launch as an entry-level offering in the V29 series. The phone is likely a rebadged version of the Vivo Y78 5G, which was launched in China. The Y78 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC, a 5000mAh battery and support for 44W fast charging out of the box. In addition, the device features up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The phone has a dual-camera setup on the back with a 50MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP bokeh sensor. For selfies, the Y78 5G has an 8MP front camera. The handset features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. It runs Android 13-based Origin OS 3 in China. The global variant will likely run Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.
