Vivo X Fold 2 Specifications Revealed by Promotional Images Ahead of Launch

Vivo is prepping up for the launch of the Vivo X Fold+ successor, the Vivo X Fold 2. The handset is expected to launch in China later this month. A few days back, the design details and camera configuration of the device were revealed. Additionally, the battery capacity details, fast charging, and some specifications were disclosed by a new leak two days back. Now, some more specifications of the Vivo X Fold 2 are revealed by alleged promotional images.

Vivo X Fold 2 Specifications Revealed

The promotional images come courtesy of blogger @Dragon II Pro (on Weibo). The new leak reveals that the Vivo X Fold 2 will have an 8.03-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED display with 2160 X 1916 pixels resolution. The 8.03-inch display will have a 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits brightness. The secondary screen on the device will measure around a 6.53-inches and it will have a 2520 x 1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits brightness. The leak also reveals that the Vivo X Fold 2 will have an ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint scanner on the inner and outer screen.

Furthermore, the promotional images also suggest that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor which will be accompanied by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The handset is tipped to come with a Vivo V2 ISP chip which could offer better imaging and support Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. As far as the rest of the specifications are considered, the smartphone might pack a 4,800mAh battery which could offer 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

The past leaks suggest that the Vivo X Fold 2 will feature a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 main camera with OIS support. The 50MP sensor might be accompanied by 2x Sony IMX663 12MP lens. On the software front, the handset is expected to run Android 13 OS with Origin Ocean on top.

As of now, Vivo has not revealed the official launch date of the Vivo X Fold 2. However, as per the details shared by Vivo’s Vice President, Huang Tao, the device will launch in April in China. Alongside, the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo is also expected to launch the Vivo Pad 2 and the Vivo X Flip smartphone.
