Vivo X Fold Design Officially Confirmed Ahead of April 11 Launch in China

Vivo has officially teased the design of the X Fold in China. The company will debut its first foldable smartphone in China next month. At the event on April 11, the company has confirmed the launch of the X Fold and the Vivo Pad. The company is also expected to launch the rumoured X Note smartphone alongside. Vivo has also teased the design of the Vivo Pad. 

A couple of weeks ahead of the launch, the company has now revealed the official design of the X Fold. The foldable smartphone will have a similar folding mechanism to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X Fold design, specifications, features and other details. 

Vivo X Fold Design Teased

Vivo X Fold will be the company’s first smartphone launching in China on April 11. The foldable smartphone is expected to launch in other markets soon. Ahead of the launch, Vivo has confirmed the design of the device. The phone’s foldable screen has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the right side. Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the display size. Rumours suggest that the device will sport an 8-inch foldable screen with a QHD+ resolution. It will also support a 120Hz refresh rate.


The outer screen is curved and has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the screen as well. As per the rumour mill, the cover display is 6.53-inch tall. It will feature a Full HD+ resolution but there is no official word on the high refresh rate support yet.

On the back, there is a huge rectangular block sitting on the top portion of the textured panel. A circular camera module is resting on top of this block, which houses a quad-camera setup. The images confirm the inclusion of a periscope lens setup. As per rumours, the foldable phone has a 50MP main camera and a 48MP ultrawide camera. It will also feature a 12MP portrait camera with 2x zoom and an 8MP sensor with 5x zoom support.

The design images further reveal that the foldable phone has the power and volume keys on the right edge. There is an Alert Slider on the left side of the frame as well. Other leaked details include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, a 4600 mAh battery and support for 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging.
