Vivo X Fold+ will come with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Vivo X Fold S Plus Fold+

Vivo is gearing up to launch a new foldable device in the coming weeks. A few weeks back, the upcoming foldable smartphone from Vivo was spotted on Geekbench, 3C Certification, and more. Now, the forthcoming device has been spotted on Google Play Supported Devices List revealing the model number as well as confirming the moniker of the device.

The upcoming Vivo foldable with the V2229A model number will be called the Vivo X Fold+. This is the same model number that we had seen on multiple certifications over the past few weeks. While we were expecting the device to be called the Vivo X Fold S, this Google Play Supported Devices List confirms that the upcoming device will be called Vivo X Fold+. Let’s take a look at the details.

Vivo X Fold+ Moniker Confirmed, Expected Specifications

The Vivo X Fold+ has been listed on the Google Play Supported Devices List with V2229A model number along with other phones from Vivo like the Vivo X Note and Vivo X Note. Apart from the moniker confirmation, the website does not reveal much. However, since the device with the same model number was spotted before, we do know some of the specifications.

Based on the Geekbench listing, the upcoming Vivo X Fold S will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with four cores running at 2.02GHz, three at 2.75GHz, and one prime core with a 3.19GHz clock speed. This SoC is paired with Adreno 730 GPU. Further, the listing suggests the phone will come with 12GB RAM. In addition to this, we can expect Vivo to launch multiple RAM and storage options for the device. As for the software, the phone is said to run on Android 12 out of the box.

Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the foldable phone from Vivo will feature a quad-camera setup on the back. The camera setup will include a 50MP primary camera sensor, a 12MP portrait camera sensor with 2x zoom, a 48MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP periscope camera. The foldable phone will also feature a 16MP front camera. Other expected features include a 4700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support, 120Hz 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED display on the outside, and a 120Hz 8.03-inch foldable screen.

Earlier this year, the company launched the X Fold and we can expect the X Fold+ to arrive soon.
