Popular tipster Digital Chat Station previously confirmed on Weibo that Vivo will launch the vanilla and Pro models in November. The tipster also stated that Vivo will launch Vivo X Fold 3 in the first quarter of 2024. The Vivo X100 series smartphones are expected to debut in the global markets around Q2 of 2024.
A new post by Digital Chat Station (via) confirms some more specifications of the upcoming Vivo X100 Pro and Pro+ smartphones. DCS confirms that the X100 Pro and Pro+ smartphones will feature IP68 water and dust resistance. The tipster doesn’t reveal whether the vanilla model will feature an IP rating. DCS confirms that the Pro series smartphones will support 50W wireless charging tech.
OnePlus and Realme are also tipped to equip OnePlus 12 and Realme GT 5 Pro smartphones with 50W wireless charging tech. The tipster hints that the vanilla X100 model will miss the wireless charging tech. Vivo launched the Vivo X90 with an IP64 rating compared to the IP68 rating on Vivo X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ smartphones.
The tipster adds that Vivo will equip the smartphones with dual stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and an IR blaster. A previous report confirmed that Vivo will equip the smartphones with independent V3 ISP. The independent ISP is built on a 6nm process, which will enhance the camera performance of the upcoming smartphones.
Vivo is tipped to equip the Pro and Pro+ models with triple and quad rear cameras. The upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone will feature the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Pro+ smartphone is also tipped to equip a large periscope lens.
