Vivo X100 Pro+ Key Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch: To Come With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM

Vivo launched Vivo X90 series smartphones in April 2023 in India. The series consists of Vivo X90 5G and Vivo X90 Pro in the global markets, including India. The company confirmed that Vivo X90 Pro+ will be exclusive to China. The specifications of the Vivo X100 Pro+ were leaked ahead of the Indian launch of the Vivo X90 series smartphones.

A tipster claimed the upcoming X100 Pro+ smartphone will have variable aperture lenses. Later, the famous tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the chipset details of the forthcoming Vivo X100 series smartphones. Later, a report from The Tech Outlook revealed the specifications of the vanilla X100 smartphone. A new report from TechGoing citing tipster Panda is Bald reveals some key specifications of the upcoming X100 Pro+ smartphone.

Vivo X100 Pro+ Leaked Specifications

The tipster confirms that Vivo will equip the smartphone with a 6.78-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The tipster doesn’t reveal the display panel’s resolution or vendor. Vivo will likely equip the smartphone with a Samsung E7 or BOE Q9+ panel. Under the hood, Vivo X100 Pro+ will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, built on a 4nm process. The leak echoes the previous specifications confirmed by Digital Chat Station.


Qualcomm will announce the details of smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC once the chipset goes live. Qualcomm will likely launch the chipset during the Tech Summit event scheduled for October 2023. Panda is Bald tipster adds that the chipset will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The upcoming smartphone will have a quad rear camera setup similar to Vivo X90 Pro+. The leaked smartphone renders confirmed the Zeiss branding on the camera cut-out.

The tipster reveals that Vivo will equip the smartphone with a 50MP Sony IMX 989 sensor with a variable aperture. Vivo will continue to equip the smartphone with a 1-inch sensor similar to the Vivo X90 Pro+. The primary sensor will be paired with a secondary 50MP IMX 598 ultra-wide-angle lens, a tertiary 50MP IMX 758 telephoto lens, and a 200MP periscope lens. The 200MP periscope lens is expected to be the most significant improvement compared to its predecessor.

A tipster claims that Vivo and Samsung jointly developed the 200MP periscope lens. The upcoming 200MP periscope lens is expected to be a modified variant of the Samsung HP3 sensor. The sensor is likely to be a 50 MP sensor with pixel-binning. The OLED display will house the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner seen on flagship Samsung smartphones.

Vivo will equip the smartphone with an IP68 rating to make it suitable for outdoor photography in any condition. Other smartphone specifications, including battery, front camera, and more, are currently unknown. Vivo is tipped to launch the X100 series smartphones in China by the end of 2023. The vanilla X100 and X100 Pro are tipped to make their way to the international markets at the end of Q1 of 2024 or early Q2 of 2024.
