Vivo X100 series is set to launch in China on November 13. The smartphone series will likely include three smartphones – Vivo X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+. Ahead of the official launch, we know quite a few details about the upcoming devices, thanks to leaks and certification websites. A new leak has revealed the camera details of the Vivo X100, which is tipped to sport a triple rear camera setup with a Sony IMX920 primary sensor.
Vivo X100 Series Camera Details (Leaked)
The triple rear camera setup on the Vivo X100 will reportedly include a Sony IMX920 primary sensor with f/1.57 aperture, a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 wide-angle lens with a focal length of 15mm and an OmniVision OV64B periscope macro lens with f/2.57 aperture and 3x optical zoom. This was leaked by tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) in a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. Further, the tipster posted that the camera lens on the Vivo X100 is labelled as “Vario-Tessar”.
Notably, previous rumours have also hinted at a triple rear camera setup for Vivo X100 and X00 Pro. The X100 Pro is said to have a Sony IMX989 main sensor, a Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera sensor, and an OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor.
The higher-end Vivo X100 Pro+ could come with a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS, in addition to a 50MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide lens, a 50MP Sony IMX758 portrait sensor, and a 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor telephoto periscope camera with 10x zoom.
Vivo X100, X100 Pro Image Renders (Leaked)
Image renders of Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones were also leaked by the same tipster. In a post on Weibo, Digital Chat Station shared the Vivo X100 Pro in two colour options. The Sunset Orange colour variant could be available in a leather finish, while the Blue colour option is tipped to sport a glass body design. Two more colour options – White and Black are expected for the Vivo X100 Pro and both will feature a glass body design, as per the tipster.
Going by the leaked images, both X100 and X100 Pro will sport large circular protruding camera modules with ‘ZEISS’ branding. The blue colour variant of Vivo X100 is seen sporting what the company calls the Ripple Glass Finish. The Vivo X100 design render was previously posted officially by the company’s product manager Han Boxiao.
Vivo X100 Series Features (Expected)
Apart from this, the Vivo X100 and the X100 Pro are rumoured to be powered by a Dimensity 9300 SoC, whereas the X100 Pro+ could be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC respectively.
The Vivo X100 smartphones could sport an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. The smartphones could get IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. A Vivo X100 listing on the benchmarking site AnTuTu revealed that the series could be the first set of smartphones to pack LPDDR5T RAM. Further, the Vivo X100 lineup could offer up to 24GB RAM. The Pro variant could be backed by a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
