Vivo officially released the Star Version of the X23 smartphone in China on October 29th. The company announced the standard variant of the smartphone in September. Back then, it was launched in three different colors: Phantom Purple, Phantom Red, and Midnight Blue. While all the other color variants are available for purchase in China, the Star Version goes on pre-orders today. The Vivo X23 Star Edition is available for pre-order at 3,498 Yuan.

Vivo X23 Star Version Design

The Vivo X23 Star Version is basically a Red colored smartphone layered with the streaks of other contrasting colors, running through the middle of the device in a vertical pattern. The streaks of these contrasting lines are developed with a nano-scale high-precision laser engraving process. So when the light hits the rear panel of the device, it generates illusion diffraction units, giving the handset a unique and shimmering look.

In terms of designing, the Star Version of the Vivo X23 is inspired by the Vivo NEX, which was also launched in September. The Vivo NEX boasts a similar pattern at the back, but with a different shade. Nonetheless, the flagship device is, arguably, one of the best-looking smartphones in the market.
