The Vivo X23 smartphone is Vivo’s offering for a high-end smartphone at an affordable price tag. The smartphone launched in early September and since then has been selling like hot cakes. Ever since its launch, the smartphone became popular, with over 6 lakh pre-orders on Jingdong Mall in China. The smartphone is popularly known for its teardrop notch and its in-display fingerprint sensor. Since then, the smartphone has been available in a number of variants like the Fashion Edition, Logo Edition, and Star Edition. However, rumour has it that there will be a new addition to this list called the Symphony Edition. It must be noted that most of these variants are more or less the same in terms of internal hardware specifications but are set apart based on facial differences.

Vivo X23 Symphony Edition (Vivo V1816A) Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Vivo is back with a bang and this time with the upcoming launch of its Vivo X23 Symphony Edition. The smartphone is expected to be more or less similar to that pf the Vivo X23. However, it may be a slightly lower version of it. The Symphony Edition isn’t too much of a surprise considering the fact that most saw another variant of the Vivo X23 coming. Courtesy of TENAA, a Vivo phone with the model number V1816A was brought to the fore. What really confirmed and validated its arrival was its certification by 3C, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and (MIIT) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition is expected to launch in China on November 23rd. According to the China Telecom listing, it’s expected to launch in two colour variants, including Starry Night Ocean and Arctic Morning. The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition has a glass back panel looks extremely stunning. The device is rumoured to be priced at Yuan 3,098.

Vivo X23 Symphony Edition (Vivo V1816A): Hardware Specifications Revealed

The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition smartphone is very similar to that of the Vivo X23. It even has the same screen and display resolution. The Symphony Edition features a 6.41-inch AMOLED screen and a display resolution of2340x1080 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The device even has the same teardrop notch as the Vivo X23. The main difference in appearance seems to be the colour of the back panel of the phone. The rear-camera placement, as well as the front camera, are in the same position as on the Vivo X23. If so, is the colour the only differentiating factor?

While one would like to think so, unfortunately, it isn’t! The Symphony Edition is driven by the Snapdragon 660 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 670 as seen on the Vivo X23 smartphone. Coupled with this are 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Fortunately, if this amount of storage isn’t enough, the device supports storage expansion via microSD card. In the camera department, the device has a dual-rear camera setup of 12MP + 13MP and a front facing camera of 24.8MP. It appears that this variant has an upgraded front-facing camera over the Vivo X23 device. The device is equipped with a 3,400mAh battery and runs on FunTouch OS UI which is based on Android Oreo 8.1.

While it may not house the highest-end Snapdragon chipset, it does have good cameras and certainly has killer looks! Given the price of the Vivo X23 Symphony Edition (Vivo V1816A), the device is definitely worth purchasing.
