Vivo has announced it on Weibo that it will launch a new smartphone in Beijing tomorrow. According to the post, this upcoming smartphone will have dual-mode 5G and AI capabilities. The post is accompanied by an image, which suggests that the upcoming smartphone will feature a Samsung Exynos chipset. Considering that Exynos 980 is the only 5G supported chipset from Samsung, the upcoming Vivo smartphone is expected to feature the Exynos 980 SoC. Although the name of this upcoming smartphone from Vivo is unknown, various reports suggest that it will be called the Vivo X30.
Vivo X30 Expected Specifications
The Exynos 980 was announced a few months ago. Going by the specs sheet, the Exynos 980 seems to be a mid-range chipset. Speaking of specifications, the Exynos 980 has two Cortex-A77 CPU cores and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores. In terms of graphics, the chipset uses the Mali-G76 MP5 GPU. You can expect the chipset to feature UFS 2.1 storage since that’s what the SoC supports. Considering that the Vivo X30 will be a mid-range or high-end smartphone, you can expect it to come in 128GB and 256GB storage options, and 6GB and 8GB RAM options.
According to a tech publication, DroidShout, the Vivo X30 will feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Considering that all smartphones nowadays with an AMOLED display feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, the Vivo X30 might also have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Vivo X30 is said to come with four rear cameras – 64MP, 13MP, 8MP, and 2MP. If the report from DroidShout is to be believed, the front-facing camera will be a 32MP unit. The report also claims that the Vivo X30 will have a 4500mAh battery, and 22.5W or 30W fast charging.
