Vivo, earlier this year, launched the X60 series in India. The company entered the ultra-premium category in India for the first time with the X60 Pro Plus. It also launched the vanilla X60 and X60 Pro to take on other premium smartphones in their respective price categories. Few months down the launch, the company is working on the X60 series successor. Rumours are rife that the Vivo X70 series will debut some time during the second leg of the IPL in September and October. The company has not made any official announcement on the same. However, some key details of the Vivo X70 Pro and the Plus model have leaked online.

According to a new report by 91Mobiles, Vivo will launch its next flagship in India in September. The company will launch three new smartphones – Vivo X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro Plus. The report does not reveal the exact launch date of the upcoming Vivo smartphones in India. It, however, does give us some details about the possible prices of the devices.

The report, citing an anonymous source, claims that the X70 Pro price in India will be around Rs 50,000. The X70 Pro Plus, on the other hand, will cost around Rs 70,000. The tentative pricing is, more or less, in line with the current pricing of the X60 series. The X60 Pro was launched in India for Rs 49,999, whereas the X60 Pro Plus was launched for Rs 69,999.

Specifications of the upcoming X70 Pro+ had leaked in April. According to the leaked information, the phone will come with a sensor bigger than 1/1.28-inches. The current X60 Pro+ has a 50MP 1/1.31-inch sensor. The X70 Pro+ will continue to feature Zeiss optics. Details about the camera sensor resolution are currently unknown.

Under the hood, the phone will draw power from a Snapdragon 888 SoC. It will pack a bigger 4,500 mAh battery and come with 66W fast charging support. Vivo will opt for a Samsung E4 AMOLED panel on the X70 Pro+. We can expect it to have 120Hz refresh rate support. It will continue to come with a Full HD+ resolution. The phone is tipped to come with a dual speaker setup, unlike the single speaker on the X60 Pro+.

The standard X70 is said to feature a large f/1.15 aperture and a five-axis image stabilisation. If true, the Vivo X70 could be the first smartphone with such a feature. This should be able to offer better stabilisation in images and videos and help take brighter photos and videos.
