Vivo X80 Pro Plus Spotted On GeekBench Listing; Confirms Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo X80 series smartphones, the Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro Plus. Going by the name and past records, the X80 Pro Plus will be the top of the line flagship phone and previously, MySmartPrice had exclusively confirmed that the Vivo X80 series will launch in India in April.

In the past, Vivo X80 specifications were leaked to feature Dimensity and Snapdragon processors. Now, the upcoming Vivo X80 Pro Plus has been spotted on the geekbench database revealing the phone’s processor, RAM, OS version, and much more. Let’s take a closer look at the X80 Pro Plus.

Vivo X80 Pro Plus Listed on Geekbench

The Vivo X80 Pro Plus phone has been listed on the geekbench with model number “V2145”. This device is said to come in Qualcomm chipset, which is codenamed “taro”. This is a reference to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1’s internal code name. This also confirms that the X80 Pro Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

This is an octa-core chipset with four cores running at 1.79GHz, three cores running at 2.5GHz, and one prime core clocked at 3GHz. This chipset is coupled with Adreno 730 GPU for handling graphic intensive tasks like gaming. The listing also confirmed 12GB RAM on the device, but we expected the device to offer more RAM options as well. Lastly, the device will run on Android 12 out of the box.

Vivo X80 Pro Plus: Specifications (Expected)

As per the previous leaks, the X80 Pro Plus could come with a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 E5 AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The phone is tipped to offer a 50MP + 48MP (IMX598) + 50MP (JN1) + 50MP (JN2) quad-camera setup. The device could come with a 50MP selfie camera. On the other hand, the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro are said to be powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 9000 processors.
