Vivo will debut the X80 series flagship smartphones soon in China. A now-deleted post on Weibo spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav reveals that the flagship smartphone series from Vivo will launch in April. The smartphones will debut on April 25 and go on sale starting April 29, according to the deleted post on Weibo. Vivo is expected to launch at least two smartphones, namely the X80, and X80 Pro. There are rumours of a top-end X80 Pro+ launching soon with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC as well.

Details about the other two Vivo smartphones have leaked online. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X80 series specifications, features and other leaked details.

Vivo X80 Launch Date Leaked

Vivo will launch the X80 series in China on April 25 according to a leaked post on Weibo. The company is expected to launch multiple phones under the lineup. At least two out of the three rumoured phones are expected to launch on April 25. The three rumoured devices are the X80, X80 Pro and X80 Pro+.

The top-end X80 Pro+ was spotted recently on the Geekbench website. It confirmed that the phone with the model number V2145 features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The device will come with at least 12GB RAM and run Android 12 out of the box. Other details of the device have leaked as well. It is rumoured to sport a quad-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor, a 50MP JN1 sensor and a 50MP JN2 sensor. At the front, the phone will have a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 E5 AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. 

The X80 Pro is said to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. It will pack a 4700 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The phone will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will come with a quad-camera setup. There will be a 50MP GN1 main camera, a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultrawide lens, a 12MP portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom and gimbal OIS support, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x zoom and OIS support. It will also come with a 32MP front camera sensor.

Lastly, the vanilla X80 will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. It will come with a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom. The phone is rumoured to draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC. It will come with a 4500 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The device will have the same display size as the Pro model but come with a Full HD+ resolution.

All three phones will run Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box.
