Vivo has just unveiled the Vivo X80 series in China. The company has announced the Vivo X80 Pro and the Vivo X80 devices in its home country. The Vivo X80 Pro Plus, which was spotted on multiple certifications and benchmarking sites earlier was not announced. The company is hosting an event on May 8 to announce the Vivo X80 series globally and we might witness the launch of the Pro Plus model in the coming weeks.

The Vivo X80 series, like the last-gen devices, comes with Zeiss engineered cameras on the back. The Vivo X80 Pro comes with two chipset options this time around 一 one with Qualcomm’s flagship processor and the other with MediaTek’s top processor. Both phones come with a 120Hz AMOLED display, 80W fast charging, and a 50MP main camera setup. Let us take a look at the newly launched Vivo phones in detail.

Vivo X80 Pro: Price and Availability

The Vivo X80 Pro starts at CNY 5499 for the base variant with Snapdragon SoC and the Dimensity version starts at CNY 5999. The phone is now available for pre-order in China and will ship on April 28. It is available in Orange, Black, and Green colour options.

On the other hand, the Vivo X80 starts at CNY 3699. It is available for pre-order in China now and will ship from May 1. The phone comes in Orange, Black, and Green colour options.

Vivo X80 Pro: Specifications and Features

The Vivo X80 Pro sports a 6.78-inch E5 2K AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 3200×1440 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, 92.22% screen to body ratio, P3 colour gamut, and 120Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone comes in two processor options 一 MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Both processors are built on top of a 4nm process. The Dimensity 9000 SoC comes with a peak clock speed of 3.05GHz and is coupled with Mali-G710 GPU, while the Snapdragon variant has a clock speed of 3GHz and comes with Adreno 730 GPU. The phone comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The Vivo X80 Pro comes with a quad rear camera setup led by a 50MP (f/1.57, OIS) GNV main camera, a 48MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 12MP (f/1.85)portrait camera, and an 8MP ( f/3.4, OIS) telephoto lens. To the front, the device offers a 32MP selfie camera. Like the last-gen, the camera is engineered by Zeiss optics. Some camera modes include up to 5x optical zoom, 60x digital zoom, night mode, portrait mode, pano, HDR, pro mode, dual view, double exposure, and much more. It is powered by Dimensity 9000 SoC with the prime X2 core clocked at 3.05GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores with a clock speed of 2.85GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
